2022.01.28 02:39 AlwaysWondering0775 Time to rant because being a mom is SO DAMN HARD
I have a three month old son. He is perfect in every way and gives me life. Being his mother is honestly the greatest joy and honor. But dammit if it just sucks the life out of me sometimes learning this new role of my life.
I’m supposed to take care of this tiny human, know his developmental milestones, watch out for every possible hazard on this planet, keep track of feedings, make sure he has clothes, formula, make sure he’s visiting family so no one is pissed off, all while working a full time job, maintaining a home, and feeling the suffocating and unending expectations of the outside world towards motherhood. Don’t get me wrong, my husband is such a huge help and there is no way I could make it without him in this journey. But my gosh living up to even half of the crushing expectations I feel as a new mom is excruciating. Not to mention I am looking in the mirror and do not recognize the body or face staring back at me.
I know. I know I can’t meet these expectations and I just have to do my best. But I just have to say. This is extremely isolating and scary and there is just no way to ever prepare someone for this. Thank God for therapy y’all.

I’m also scared i won’t be prepared. Honestly I’ll take any helpful advice at this point. Thank you in advance!!

2022.01.28 02:39 KingCreb956 Why is it that the scorpion feels so weak in infinite
I'm playing infinite and I'm going up against the wraith master, and I died a few times, so I called in a scorpion, thinking I would be able to take more damage and dish more out. I wasn't even able to hit it with my canon before I got one shot by the wraith

2022.01.28 02:39 JMLDT Paracetamol for chronic pain?
I have been suffering from chronic pain for over thirty years. It has systematically robbed me of my personality and whole life. In desperation I recently went back on the Internet to try and find whether there is anything new regarding pain management, and happened upon a new pain clinic close by.
So I have recently had a procedure whereby they "switched off" the nerves through radio frequency, and injected anaesthetic, steroids and cortisone into the facia on my spine (under anaesthetic, with real time radiology to guide them).
But here is the interesting part. Instead of heavy opiods, the regimen is to take 1000mg of paracetamol every 4 hours. The theory is apparently that it keeps your pain level steady, so that when you take a stronger pain killer for breakthrough pain, it is much more effective, since when your pain is at screaming levels, nothing will really work. With this, you take one anti-inflammatory and one tramadol per day.
I was VERY skeptical, but so far, it seems to be working (six weeks in).
Anybody else heard of this?
