2021.12.06 18:54 FierceKittenUWU I want to get better at Fortnite
What’s the best way to go about it? I’m not particularly good at any part of Fortnite, and I’d just like to start off by learning to be at least competent. Resources, Tips, and Guides are very much appreciated

2021.12.06 18:54 dloseke REFS vs NTFS Repositories - Best Practices for NAS and local-backed storage devices
So, I have been implementing REFS for pretty much any Veeam Repo's I've deployed for the past year or two. In many situations, the backing storage is either, in a virtual environment, a Synology NAS (there may be a QNAP or two out there) that is connected via ISCSI and the volume is presented to the repo server as a RDM, or in a physical server environment, local storage which is our typical deployment going forward.
I have a new engineer that started that is questioning why we do things the way we do as at his previous employer, he ran into issues with REFS where power outages caused data corruption. As such, he desires to convert any REFS-based repositories to NTFS. I don't know the details of the circumstances that he's dealt with this, but apparently it's burned him badly twice, once resulting in a loss of 80TB of data.
Obviously, I see the recommendation to use REFS very often, especially from u/Gostev, but I want to see pro's and con's for each because I'd like for this to be as consistent as possible across all of our clients if we're going to make a change. We're discussing if when using a software RAID device such as a Synology or QNAP NAS using NTFS on an RAID volume (format to be determined such as SHR, ext2, etc), and when using a physical server with a hardware RAID that has a battery backed write cache, using REFS. I get the feeling that we may need to work through some scenario's for what our clients have, and what we should be doing for each of those scenario's, and what we will do going forward for any new deployments.

2021.12.06 18:54 Xanidou [QUESTION] About F-spaced EMGs
Hello, I'm looking into replacing the two humbuckers of my Jackson Performer ps-4 with a set of active EMGs (57/66). However, I do not know if I need f spaced or standard ones. It seems that the guitar currently has a standard PU in neck position and a f spaced one in bridge position. The thing is, there is less than 2mm of difference between the size of these (E string to e string)
Then, does it really matter which I choose? The F-spaced are a whole 30 bucks more expensive, which seems like a steal for the difference it is, and I'm not even sure it will make a difference.
Any advice is welcome

2021.12.06 18:54 BostonBrandToots I've been waiting 5 days on an exchange for XLM via Exodus. Support says "Switchain" is having issues. Hasty Google search reveals nothing good about Switchain. No idea why this happening or how to protect myself in the future.
More than 5 days ago I went to take some profits off the table. And like I've done in the past, I wanted to exchange some SOL for XLM, which I was going to send to my exchange and cash out. (The last time I took profits, my exchanges I used didn't have SOL and I was just doing what I was already comfortable with.)
To my surprise, the transaction didn't go through over several hours of waiting. I went to work only to get home later that night without my XLM.
Exodus support was quick to respond to my email. They were also quick to compensate me for my troubles with a $200 USD gift.
I do not, however, understand their explanation for why an exchange between two of the fastest networks was taking days to resolve:
Our third-party exchange API provider has encountered technical issues completing your order at the time, but we are working with them to have this matter resolved as we speakWhat is "Switchain" and what does that have to do with Solana or Stellar?
I have just heard back from my lead here on the Exodus side, and apparently, there is still some technical trouble on the Switchain side and they are working on their Solana Network interface right now.
No word on exactly when this asset will be back up and running on the exchange. Your exchange will eventually be completed at the agreed-on rate, however.

2021.12.06 18:54 MusicianUsed6824 Completed the How to Stake instructions. How long until I see the staked coins in the explorer?
Followed the instructions step by step, sending from kucoin to metamask via BNB. Worked well.
I then went to https://e.mtv.ac/staking.html. Clicked on Connect to Metamask. Confirmed the max amount to stake and paid the gas fee in BNB. Then I got a prompt that says the transaction has completed. Now what?
I added the Multivac Mainnet to my Meta Mask wallet.
Where can I see if the amount has successfully staked? Should it be instantaneous?

2021.12.06 18:54 netsmeetpokemon Weekly updates with parosmia, week 11
See previous weeks in link above.
Hello December. This past weekend was my 1 year wedding anniversary. I did my best to eat foods I normally cant. I tried a prime rib, which actually was about 50% ok, but then the covid taste came rushing in. I pushed myself through just so i can eat a little bit of it. I also did the same with about half a cheeseburger. It's like I have to eat meat fast if I eat it, it tastes ehhh ok at first where I can power through, but then over time it gets worse and worse with the taste catching up, it's weird. Bread seems to possibly be getting somewhat better, I certainly have winced less recently when trying to eat it, maybe a little bit of a win there. I also tried eating some salmon over the weekend. It was definitely cooked with some garlic sadly, but was able to eat the fillet. It did not taste good at all, but the fact I was able to even tolerate it certainly is good. It feels like I'm getting better at coping with the taste rather than actually getting better, but hopefully I am wrong and I am actually improving. It would be nice to be able to enjoy eating again before Christmas and the holidays, but it seems like a long shot. We'll see where I'm at in the coming weeks..
